(Theatre Mania) Brown, Butler, Friedman, Pascal, et al. to Celebrate Disney Music in London
Ashley Brown, Tituss Burgess, Kerry Butler, Maria Friedman, Adam Pascal, Matt Rawle, and Drew Sarich will join the London cast of The Lion King and the 74-piece BBC Concert Orchestra for Radio 2 Celebrates the Music of Disney on Monday, December 8 at London’s Lyceum Theatre. It will be recorded as a Christmas special edition of Friday Night Is Music Night and will be aired on December 26.
In related news, the cast of The Lion King will also participate in the annual Royal Variety Performance, performing live in front of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall at the 80th anniversary charity gala, which takes place at the West End’s London Palladium on December 11. The concert will be broadcast on BBC One later in the month.
Other participants will include John Barrowman, Josh Groban, George Sampson, Kerry Ellis, Brian May, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, and the casts of Jersey Boys, Zorro and La Cage Aux Folles.
